Vaxjo Smaland International Airport (or Vaxjo) is geographically located in the south of Sweden. The airport gets its dual name from the province of Smaland, of which it is a part, and the popular tourist town of Vaxjo, located 10 km away.
Vaxjo Smaland Airport is small in size and consists of a single passenger terminal. The airport complex owes its popularity (especially among Baltic and Scandinavian countries) to cooperation with low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and Wizz Air.
According to the classification of the International Air Transport Association, Vaxjo Smaland Airport has been assigned a code ‘VXO’.
The official website of the airport is www.smalandairport.se.
