Stockholm Skavsta International Airport is located near the city of Nyköping, 100 km from Stockholm. The airport is designed for low-cost airlines such as Wizz Air and Ryanair.

From Skavsta Airport to Stockholm
You can take a shuttle bus from Skavsta Airport to Stockholm. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
There are bus routes to different parts of the city. The best option is the Flygbussarna airport coaches, which run between Skavsta Airport and Stockholm Cityterminalen (Stockholm’s main bus station).
A single ticket costs 159 Swedish kronor (€17) and a round trip ticket costs 285 Swedish kronor (€30).
Important: people under 26 years of age receive a discount.
Tickets can be purchased directly at Skavsta Airport at the counter with the Flygbussarna logo or from a vending machine. You can also buy tickets on the Flygbussarna website (www.flygbussarna.se), which are slightly cheaper: 139 Swedish kronor one-way and 278 Swedish kronor two-way.
Important: tickets are not sold for a specific time, but for a specific day. If you can’t make it to one bus, you can take another.
On the website you can also check the bus timetable. Buses usually leave half an hour after the arrival of each flight.
There is another way to get to the Swedish capital.
There is a bus No.515 from Skavsta Airport to Nyköping (to the nearest train station). The first is at 4:20 am and the last at 00:30 am. Runs on average every half hour from 4:20 am to 00:30 am. Travel time is 10 minutes. The ticket price is 22 Swedish kronor (11 for students).
From here it is by train to Stockholm. The first train leaves at 6:17 am (there is, however, at 5:20 am, but then you have to change trains). Ticket costs 100 Swedish kronor (youth – 90). The trip takes just over 1 hour.
From Stockholm to Skavsta Airport
From the Swedish capital to the airport in a similar way: either by train or by bus. Buses leave from the central bus station at 3:40 am. Buses go once or twice an hour (especially rare on Saturdays – usually once an hour).
From Skavsta Airport to other cities
Flygbussarna buses also connect Skavsta Airport with the towns of Linköping and Norrköping. A single ticket to Linköping costs 139 Swedish kronor, round trip 269 Swedish kronor; to Norrköping it’s 119 Swedish kronor one-way, 238 Swedish kronor round trip (if buying from the carrier’s website!).
It’s also possible, as mentioned above, to take bus number 515 to Nyköping railway station and travel to other towns from there.
Alternatively, if you take the bus to Stockholm Central Station, you’ll also be close to Stockholm Central Station, from where you can go anywhere in Scandinavia.
