Katowice International Airport is located in Pyrzowice, thirty kilometres from the centre of Katowice. It is one of the five busiest airports in Poland in terms of total passenger traffic. It is also home to the largest number of airlines, as the Silesian province is the most densely populated and industrially developed region of Poland.
The airport consists of three terminals: A, B and C. Free unlimited internet access (Wi-Fi) is available to passengers. If required, cash withdrawals or exchanges can be made on the ground floors of Terminals A and C, where ATMs and currency exchanges are located.
The airport area is equipped with a number of spotting platforms for runway. The most popular ones, due to their accessibility, are located in the northwest and southeast parts of the airport. The spotting points are open to visitors all year round.
According to the classification of the International Air Transport Association, Katowice International Airport has a code ‘KTW’.
The official website of the airport is https://www.katowice-airport.com.
